Everyone! The platform and stories are aimed at every fiction enthusiast eager to explore a huge and fascinating world. Anyone can browse the stories, characters, videos, and forums, along with the shop. To post content on the platform, all you need is a free Creator account. After that, the only limits are your own imagination.
Is Malakai World free?
YES! Registered Creators can explore all the characters and stories for free, create their own assets for free, share them with their friends for free, chat with members for free, participate in the forums for free, and watch all the videos in the Academy for free!
How can I get published?
Every story and character you post on the platform can earn views and 'likes' that will raise your profile. The number of people who cite you as an inspiration also counts, just like you get praise for citing someone else. At the end of April 2024, our jury will announce a shortlist of Creators being considered for publication. Then, on May 31st, 2024, we will announce the talented Creator who will receive a commission to write a full novel to be published under the Malakai World imprint. That comes with a full publishing contract and a cash advance, along with royalties on every copy sold. Up to 5 other Creators will be selected for publication and will receive royalties for their work. So get busy writing, and get busy sharing! Videos in the Academy can help you get started, while our GenAI chat and visual engine are there to spur your imagination. And of course, the libraries of existing characters and stories can also inspire you further. It's in your hands now!
What GenAI tools can I use?
You can use any Generative AI tool at your disposal, on or off the platform, to create your content! The Malakai World AI co-pilot is built into the Chat and connected to ChatGPT 4 so you can use prompts to help jumpstart your imagination. Come up with a character description, the opening of your story, or a complex scene. You can also use our GenAI visual engine connected to Dall-E 3 to come up with an original visual for any character your create. That way, you can make sure your creation is unique and original.
