What is it about Vikings that we all find so fascinating? They're a tough bunch, to say the least, but a lot of clichés have distorted our view of their culture and practices. So do Vikings truly belong in a Fantasy kind of tale, or is Fantasy more than that? Are Vikings more than that?
Vikings were the first people to cross the Atlantic, way before Christopher Columbus did in the 15th century, but because there were few records of names and trips in that time, we can't quite place which Viking first set foot on the New World.
In the Norse Throne storyline, I'm trying to make Vikings relatable, to show their daily struggles as they navigate a tough and harsh landscape. I'd love to know what you would like to see in such a storyline - is it the battles or the day-to-day that has you curious? Is it moments on board their Drakkars at sea, trekking through the land, or staying in their village? Are you curious about the role of women in the Viking culture? What about how they interact with other cultures?
